The Fallacy of the Third Resurrection

in the RCG System

(Edition 1.0 20240410-20240410)

This paper became necessary because the paper Fallacy of the Third Resurrection (No. 166) was published in June 1996. Whilst the Global Church of God existed its doctrines did not substantially differ from the WCG it came from. It was in 1998 that it collapsed and the LCG and RCG emerged and then the RCG produced a further heretical twist to the doctrine. Ed.

The Fallacy of the Third Resurrection in the RCG System

Introduction

The purpose of this text is to show the doctrines of the RCG system and how it not only contains the false teachings of the WCG errors regarding the Resurrections but how it has added to those false doctrines with a relocation of the Biblical doctrines of the Resurrections and a blasphemous assertion impugning the Nature of God regarding the final resurrection which was never held previously by any Church of God in history and which would have had its followers evicted from even the WCG system and excommunicated.  Ed.

The Fallacy of the Third Resurrection.

Or in other words,

An understanding of what are the resurrections of the Bible and how they impact the genuine reader – see also the initial text dealing with this subject as Fallacy of the Third Resurrection (No. 166).

How many resurrections are performed within the Biblical texts?

Consider – the Christ, Lazarus, Eutychus, Israelite man who touched Elisha’s bones, the son of the widow in Zarephath, Shunammite Woman's Son, Widow of Nain's Son, Jairus' Daughter, Saints in Jerusalem, Tabitha or Dorcas, …..

one could add – Paul, The Two Witnesses, Jonah … and maybe we could add the beast with its mortally wounded head …. of course these resurrections form their own categories and do not compare to those yet to come …

apart from The Christ’s Resurrection as The Firstfruit of the Firstfruits.

How many future Resurrections are mentioned?

We shall look at TWO Future Resurrections.

They are simply known as the First and Second Resurrections.

OARSV – rendering Rev. 20:4-15

4Then I saw thrones, and those seated on them were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years. 7When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, in order to gather them for battle; they are as numerous as the sands of the sea. 9They marched up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from heaven and consumed them. 10And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. 13And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. 14Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire 15and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire ….

It should be noted that the term “first resurrection” occurs twice and that those who partake of it shall reign with him a thousand years. And “Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ,”  -

Could there be Three Resurrections?

Much confusion has been spewed from the mouths of misled, uneducated, or outright lying leaders and ministers about the purpose and number of resurrections, because most fail to understand that God’s plan is done decently and in order (1Cor. 14:40) (1Cor. 15:22-23) and without respect of persons.

1Cor. 14:40 But all things should be done decently and in order.

Two Groups make up this “First Resurrection”.

The First Resurrection will consist of 144,000 saints with whom God has been working over the last 6,000 years, those begotten or indwelt with the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 15:20-23; also see 1Thessalonians 4:16).

1Cor. 15:20-23  20But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. 22For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to him.

1Thess. 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The 144000 will be joined and accompanied by a “Great Multitude” (Rev. 7:9; 13-14).

Rev. 7:9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

Rev. 7:13-14 13Then one of the elders asked me, “These dressed in long white robes—who are they and where have they come from?” 14So I said to him, “My lord, you know the answer.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb!

After which -  7When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will come out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, in order to gather them for battle; they are as numerous as the sands of the sea.

The understanding of where all these peoples came from is vital to the understanding of the second resurrection -

(From 20:5 we see The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) And although the term “second resurrection” is not used, it is obvious that a resurrection at the end of the 1000-year period will take place.

Rev. 20: 11Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. 13And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.”

Take note here that these dead came from the following places - 13And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, - this event is the “second resurrection” - and are all linked together as to give up the dead and at that moment.

There are many “Leaders” and “ministers” of many groups that teach there is another “Third” resurrection by claiming, among other things, that the verse, “And the sea gave up the dead that were in it,” is proof that another resurrection occurs – This is at best, poor knowledge of the intent of the book of Revelation, or at worse, and in fact is, a sinister fallacious teaching of false leaders and ministers, to impart the false understanding that God will destroy you in a “Lake of Fire” if you leave them, question them, do not tithe to them, do not give “common” to them, or just about anything else that they perceive questions anything about their absolute understanding of their interpretation of Biblical truths or standing.

The most disturbing of these doctrines go along the lines of -

[Starting with verse 11, the next five verses describe the second and (allegedly) the “third resurrections”, of which most have little or no knowledge. ……..

Regrettably, not everyone will be willing to obey God. After the 100 years, some few will actually choose the Third Resurrection.] ….. (David C Pack (DCP) of RCG)

[The third resurrection is a resurrection to the second death. …]  (RCG – others.)

This claim is a gross imputation against the Omniscience and Nature of God.

Think? How can you have a third resurrection after the second death? When the second death is the final completion, the synteleiaG4930?

Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Greek Strong's Number: G4930 Greek Word: συντέλεια Transliteration: synteleia Phonetic Pronunciation: soon-tel'-i-ah - Root: from<G4931>Cross Reference: TDNT – 8:64,1161 Part of Speech: n f Vine's Words: End, Ending Usage Notes: English Words used in KJV: end 6 [Total Count: 6]   from <G4931> (sunteleo); entire completion, i.e. consummation (of a dispensation):- end.

Now many “Leaders”, having the same “Father in the Gospel” who taught this “third resurrection” understanding either from sheer ignorance of Scripture or they have deliberately misled and “tricked” their followers to accept this falsehood as a truth …. Why? - well, they all used the teaching as a way to paralyse the hearer to “stay put” or else you die in the “Lake of Fire”. Those that are associated with these leaders and ministers know their teachings and what they say will happen to those that do not follow them without question. Be honest with yourself and quit being fooled by this false teaching in regard to a “Third Resurrection”. There is no reference to it anywhere in Scripture.

God will not resurrect you simply to throw you alive into a “Lake of Fire”. To understand this, will set you free from all those “preaching” this heresy.  Understand, if you fail to qualify for the first resurrection you will be consigned to the second resurrection for your 100 years of retraining, NOT condemned to an inevitable second death. (The Second Death (No. 143C) is reserved for the failure of the re-education program of the individual in the Second Resurrection ed.) So one can confidently understand that those of this “second resurrection”, are going to be taught correctly over the 100 years after being assessed and evaluated in the “great white throne judgement” for the Resurrection of Krisis or Correction. (Rev. 20:11)

Finally, notice that God mercifully erases even the memory of those who are cast into the lake of fire: “They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore have you visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish” [You have wiped out all memory of them.] (Isa. 26:14)

Further to this fallacy of a third resurrection” and the intent of it, one could and should be able, with applied effort, see that a “third resurrection” is not taught within the pages of the Bible (see also the Fallacy of the Third Resurrection (No. 166)).

Many Leaders of WCG network offshoots, who claim HWA to be their “Father of the Gospel ..” have held many members captive, under the false belief, that if they leave or speak against their understandings, they are consigning themselves to the “Lake of Fire” for execution.

The actual statement that the “scriptures speak of only Two future resurrections” should motivate the honest seeker of God’s truths to - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

These same leaders mentioned above would probably tell you that you have “itchy ears” and should not care for the ways of this world. Their ministry would probably enforce this opinion upon you. Ask them to use the scriptures to prove this false “third resurrection”. More than likely they will use the standard incorrect or false arguments as given above.

Let us explore further the fact of a “third resurrection” of sinners doctrine, only to be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Where did it come from and why is it “shoved down your throat”..?

Short answer – From the Father of lies and you need to “believe it” so you remain under His powers …..

Leaders that employ this tactic normally want control. They will tell you it is for your own good, and they are your “help” … we notice most will only sheepishly tell you they are your sheepish shepherd (pun intended) but will enforce some type of compliance … if the topic happens to be the “third resurrection” and its validness and truth you would probably receive a planned and rehearsed answer of the affirmative of such. Well, you had better follow their instruction or pay the price … which they may remind you is a trip to the lake of fire …

What could be the rightful use of a “Lake of Fire”?

The answer is so reassuring to those wanting the more assured self-explanatory reason for this Lake of Fire” – make no mistake, it will exist in all of its blazing glory. However, its purpose is truly for the betterment of all. It will be an incinerator and crematorium and nothing of Mankind will enter it ALIVE.

Of course there may be a caveat to the rule …..

(Rev 19:19-21) OARSV 5th Edition.

19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to do battle with the one who rode the horse and with his army. 20Now the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf —signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur. 21The others were killed by the sword that extended from the mouth of the one who rode the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.

This concept is to be dealt with elsewhere. For now, understand that the structures of the False worship of the One True God and its systems are being destroyed here. You already understand the Beast is an Empire of sorts.

Understanding the role of the Second Resurrection helps one to understand “a why?” as to its purpose.

2Pet 3:9: The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

The Second Resurrection is the start process to a journey of repentance through correct education and guidance under the Messiah and the Holy Host of Elohim. It is a 100-year long process of, in most cases, the new and correct teachings of the correct worship of the One True God. This system commenced some 1000 years previously at the First Resurrection and has enveloped the world. If you are in the second resurrection, then obviously you did not qualify for the First and are now in danger of the second death.

At that point you could ask yourself – Why didn’t I make the First Resurrection?

Although it would be much better to ask now, -- What do I need to do to make the First Resurrection?

Some food for thought -

To take part in the Marriage Supper the individual must have qualified with at least the following things.

They must have:

Been baptised as a repentant adult by an accepted officer of the Church of God (Acts 3:19);

Have hands laid on them for receipt of the Holy Spirit after baptism (Acts 8:17);

Be an effective member of one of the Churches of God over the Millennia and been tested in the faith;

Have maintained their garments spotless;

Have faithfully kept the Commandments of God and the Testimony or Faith of Jesus Christ (Rev. 12:17; 14:12).

(This would also require keeping the correct and same calendar that Christ did!!!)

(Refer to the paper God’s Calendar (No. 156)).

Also -

Heaven, Hell or the First Resurrection of the Dead (No. 143A).

So, how does the Lake of Fire get used?

As stated before, it will be utilised as a crematorium. The DEAD bodies of the unrepentant will be cast into the Lake of Fire for disposal. The unrepentant of the 100-year education cycle that refuse to adopt the correct worship of the One True God will simply be allowed to die again, which is the second death, and their DEAD bodies are removed and disposed of in the Lake of Fire.

Do not be fooled by these misleading teachers – the term “Lake of Fire” only occurs in four places in the Bible -

Rev. 19:20; 20:10; 20:14-15, and is connected with the destruction of remains ….. either of a “system” or “waste product”.

If you have understood some of the above, then by now you should have at least recognised that a third resurrection has no place in the mind or thinking of one looking to seek the correct processes for the worship of the One True God [and the creation of a system of immortal elohim as sons of God as coheirs with Christ and those sons as elohim. ed]. Wanting to achieve that is a prerequisite to entry unto the First Resurrection. Avoid any and all that “preach” and “teach” the doctrine of a third resurrection. If it is not an outright heresy due to ignorance, then at best it will hold you prisoner until your death.

Break free – remember – Eze. 14:9-10

9“‘As for the prophet, if he is made a fool by being deceived into speaking a prophetic word—I, the LORD, have made a fool of that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. 10They will bear their punishment; the punishment of the one who sought an oracle will be the same as the punishment of the prophet who gave it.

Summary

For those who may have seen some sense in this commentary, many study papers from CCG are available for its advancement of understanding. The conscientious and Holy Spirit empowered individual will seek out the finish line on the matter and then say - When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity. For God will bring every act to judgement, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil (see Ecc. 12:13-14).

[This new doctrine of the Second Resurrection and that of a fictitious Third Resurrection is entirely new. The RCG has moved the Second Resurrection from the end of the Millennium to the beginning of the Millenium after the first Resurrection and the final or fictitious Third Resurrection is a resurrection to an indiscriminate execution of all those who are resurrected. It is not to re-educate them but simply to consign them to be burnt alive in the Lake of Fire. What utter blasphemy and imputation against the Omniscience of God and His perfect goodness and Plan! These people have thus proven themselves unfit for the First Resurrection. Ed]

As to being sentenced to execution in a lake of Fire -

It is suggested you take stock of your understandings and determine as to whether you need to cling to the belief of death in the Lake of Fire or realise why you have been told these things. Save yourself. Do not waste time on considering what you may have or are beginning to suspect. There is One True Church serving the One True God. Are you truly looking for it? Are you sure you are really part of it?

These are they of the body of Christ who are to form the sons of God for the millennial system and the Temple of God thereafter. It is the sign of the elect of God, and it is these that form the body of Christ (cf. also Rev. 12:17; 14:12; 20:4).
